The Stream School for Kids is a free, STEM-based, educational program for kids and their families. is a firsthand science-based learning experience where participants are taught what a watershed is and how to better understand the relationship between land and water. They also learn the importance of water quality, biodiversity of the land and water, and why some practices implemented on land can have a negative impact on our water systems.

Ijams Bat House Education

Come out to the IJams Bat House located at mead’s quarry and learn all about our fun flighted friends. The bat house was constructed in 2025 with the help of UTK and knox county to help entice over 200,000 mexican free-tailed bats to inhabit this space. Come learn about all of the native bat species found in the area and learn why they are incredibly important to our ecosystems.
